Effect of dietary sweet almond oil on performance, carcass parameters, blood values and meat quality of Japanese quails.

In this study, the effects of two different levels sweet almond supplementation (2,500 and 5,000 mg/kg) to Japanese quails’ diets (Coturnix coturnix Japonica) on performance, carcass group, blood values meat quality were examined. For purpose, 72 one-day-old quails randomly distributed under control experimental groups for 35 days experiment, their body weight feed consumption evaluated. At end a total 8 animals from each group selected slaughtered. Hot yield, relative weights liver, heart, spleen, gizzard, proventriculus bursa Fabricius determined in slaughtered animals. Total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein, high-density lipase serum samples water holding capacity, pH, malondialdehyde, L, a*, b* breast investigated. As result it was that addition oil had positive effect decreased level serum, 2,500 mg/kg reduced ratio weight. To sum up, found quail rations performance consumption; also appears reduce value
